About me

Born in the UK and was brought up on the timeless classics of The Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry. I always had a passion for film and thirst for how it works and comes together. After leaving school, acting was the career choice but I knew my chances would be very slim in ever getting away where. So I opted to learn how the industry worked from the bottom up.

This is where animation, film and acting all came into one. I got employed at Framestore-CFC in London from 2000 - 2003. I was employed as a runner, and after a short time I had a few job promotions along the way:

Broadcast Engineering Assistant

Film Scanning & Digital Cleanup Artist

After leaving Framestore-CFC and learning Maya after hours. I did a BA Degree in 2D/3D animation at Ravensbourne College of Design.

Upon leaving university I enrolled and started in January 2007 the online Animation Mentor course. I would recommend this course to anyone who is serious about animation. The reason for me doing this course is I want to become the best animator I can, and feel the only way to do this is to do a course by animators for animators. Who better to teach you animation than some of the best in the animation industry Bobby Beck, Carlos Baena, Shawn Kelly and a host of others.

A few months before graduating from Animation Mentor in the summer of 2008 I landed an animation job at Framestore and worked on their first full CG feature called "The Tale of Despereaux". Worked with an amazing animation crew.

Currently you can find me over at Animation Mentor as a Peer buddy :)
